Women's Leadership Council
2010 Partnership with the Fulfillment Fund
WLC Mentoring Program
Objective of WLC Partnership with the Fulfillment Fund:
The objective of the WLC Mentoring Program is to provide our WLC members an opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the next generation of women. Given that the women who have been affiliated with the Fulfillment Fund are the first in their families to ever attend college, we are able to provide important mentoring relationships to these young women.
Fulfillment Fund Participants
The women selected to participate in the WLC Mentoring Program were each part of the Fulfillment Fund program throughout their high school and college education. Each participant is required to be either a junior or senior in college, or a college graduate, and demonstrate an interest in law, business, finance, accounting, or not for profit work. Each candidate was asked to write a paragraph indicating why she was interested in participating in the WLC Mentoring Program. The candidate was accepted into the WLC Mentoring Program only if her career interests matched those of the WLC members. There are currently nine young women who have been accepted to participate in the WLC Mentoring Program for the 2010 fiscal year.
Fulfillment Fund Participant Expectations:
- Participants are required to meet with at least three WLC members during the year.
- Participants are required to attend at the January WLC event, the February WLC/FF dinner event and one other WLC event during the year.
